And I'm just going to trace that center square. I made a template that's 2 12 inches by 2 12 inches and I'm tracing that in the center of my piece of fabric and then I'm going to sew along where I had made these lines. So once you have this sewn along your marker line, you're going to make an incision so you can cut out the inside of the square. So carefully cut right along the inside edge of your square. So now once you have your square cut put you're actually going to take the top layer of fabric and push it through that square. That's one reason why we wanted to make the square 2 12 inches is because if we made it too small we wouldn't be able to press through the one side of fabric. I'm making sure all the edges are through and that just takes a little bit of stretching and pulling the fabric so that that lays nice and flat. What we're going to do next is work on how our handbags are actually going to hang from our organizer. So I used 1 inch ribbon and I cut about 5 inches of ribbon. And we're going to position them so they form loops where we can hang our handbags. I used sewable Velcro on the ends of my ribbon pieces. You're going to want about 6 to 10 inches around the open hole for the hanger. So if you add that there imagine 5 inches in the center, another 5 inches. That will be where your first ribbon piece will go to hold your handbag. So just add a pin there to mark that space. And then let's say we want another 6 inches for our next handbag holder. And repeat it on the other side so that they're hanging evenly. So you've determined where you want to put your straps that's going to hold your handbags then next and final step is to tuck the edges under so your side edges, tuck them under so they're facing each other and then just sew that clean. So here you have your finished organizer. Now you just might want to make another one of these to organize your scarves.
