I asked PayPal why they did not even ask me for photos or anything or they could have asked me to return the bag to the seller or send the bag to PayPal for PayPal staff to look at the bag and they would see the handwritten numbers inside the handbag which the seller blatantly chose not to disclose. PayPal just replied that PayPal reserves the right to decide what falls under the definition of item not as described. I then replied with another email, I said it is not my fault that I missed the deadline as PayPal took one month to resolve my simple straightforward case and in that one month did not even conduct a proper investigation and because of that I should be allowed to open a resolution with eBay. More importantly how much will it cost me? The seller is in the US and I am in Singapore, so I am not sure if I have any recourse. Also I tried getting a chargeback through my credit card company but according to their buyer protection program, because I have received the item, they can perform a chargeback regardless of the fact that the item was not as described.
