to Cambodia for charityTWO Coventry grans will set off on the challenge of a lifetime today biking from Vietnam to Cambodia.Sisters Barbara Russell and Joan Boardman will take on the daunting 400 km or 250 mile ride to raise money for the medical research charity Women for Women.Barbara, of Canley, has persuaded her younger sister to join her on the mammoth ride which will see them bike a staggering 102km (63 miles) in a single day.The pair have raised an impressive 8,000 in advance of the five day challenge by doing gardening for people, washing cars and holding car boot sales.The charity challenge follows a similar one carried out by keen cyclist Barbara through China. It came about after the death of her husband, Alan, from a heart attack at the age of 58."Last year I had not long lost my husband and it gave me something to focus on," Barbara, aged 66, said."Getting involved with the charity has meant so much."It supports babies right from the womb, babies with cancer and other medical problems through childbirth."I've roped my sister in to doing it this year.She added: "We haven't been able to do much preparation as we would like because we've been that busy with the fundraising. It's been hard work getting all the money together."The sisters will be riding in Vietnam's vibrant Ho Chi Minh city before cycling through miles of rural landscape to the ancient temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.They will bike on average between 60 to 80 miles each day.Barbara has two grandchildren while Joan has three with a fourth on the way.Joan, 63, of Styvechale, said: "I'm not as confident as
