The sticks went into the compost pile at the dump. Maybe I will buy them back as mulch next year. The piles of compost at the dump are enormous, no doubt due to all the brush and trees that Bridgewater residents and landscapers brought to the dump last year after the storms and floods.Then I went home and spread mulch at the base of most of the trees in the front lawn and the forsythia in the back corner on the east side. I also spread some around the tiny azalea that has been struggling between the two maple trees ever since I planted it a few years ago. This is the first year it has bloomed, I think, and I am so grateful, I wanted to do something extra nice for it.I
