Carvers continues to work to rebuild the 16,000 sq ft warehouse and 5,400 sq ft building that were wrecked in the fire.Managing director Henry Carver said: "Everything has gone very well and on time. We are 95 per cent kitted out already and expect to be 100 per cent kitted out within a week."Bosses are going to develop the role of the temporary trade counter and warehouse over the coming week. Demolition crews have now almost entirely cleared away the wreckage of the site in Littles Lane. The company, which employs around 200 people and organises and sponsors the city's annual charity marathon, had already been using the land but many of its operations had been transferred to its other premises in Neachells Lane, Wednesfield. The two temporary buildings are 4,921 sq ft and 1,640 sq ft respectively. The blaze ravaged the 116 year old family business in Little's Lane and up to 90 firefighters battled to put it out.It took little more than two hours for the landmark warehouse to be burned to the ground. The blaze started at around 11.40am in the timber area of the warehouse and within minutes, 20ft flames and huge plumes of acrid smoke could been seen for miles. All 150 staff and 20 customers were evacuated immediately and stood by horrified as the flames spread to the roof. Explosions were heard as paint cans and gas cannisters overheated.A wood burning stove was suspected of sparking the inferno. Around 700 students from the 40 million student village, Victoria Halls, were evacuated, along with scores of homes, Carvers Cooker Centre, Woden Primary School and the Maltings
